REPIC Clinic Gangnam · Prices compared with other countries
Is Thermage or Ultherapy in Korea less expensive than in the US, Singapore, Japan or Dubai, and how do I compare quotes properly?
In most of the markets we checked — the United States, the UAE (Dubai), Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and Russia — published clinic price lists and cost guides put Thermage FLX and full-face Ultherapy above the listed prices at REPIC Clinic Gangnam in Seoul for the same shot counts; the full table with each source, its year and the exchange rate used is on our English guide site.
Compare like with like before you decide: the device and tip, the number of shots or lines, the treated area, whether VAT and the consultation are included, and whether a doctor performs the treatment. At REPIC the listed prices exclude 10% VAT and are the same for international and Korean patients.
At a glance
- Markets in the published comparison: United States, UAE (Dubai), Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and Russia — each row on the guide page names its source and year
- What a REPIC quote covers: the doctor performs the treatment, the first visit starts with a 3D facial scan (Meta-Vu) and skin measurements, and listed prices exclude 10% VAT
- Same listed prices for international and Korean patients — there is no separate foreigner price
- Thermage FLX and Ultherapy are priced by shot count and treated area on our English price pages, so you can match a quote from home to the same shot count
- Ultherapy and Thermage tips go through an authenticity check at the clinic, and a Thermage authenticity certificate is provided
- Anaesthesia options for lifting treatments: numbing cream, inhalation anaesthesia and sleep sedation — the doctor advises which suits you
- Consultations and treatments are carried out by the doctors themselves
- Interpreters on site: English, Chinese and Japanese; Arabic, Spanish, Russian and other languages if you book at least one week ahead (a separate booking fee may apply)
- Hours: Mon–Fri 10:00–20:00 (last check-in 19:00); Sat, Sun and public holidays 10:00–18:00 (last check-in 17:00); closed only on the day of Seollal and the day of Chuseok
- Location: 318 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (B1 & 2F) — about a 7-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 4; the nearest bus stop is "Raemian Apt. · Financial News" on the Gangnam-daero median bus lane
Why quotes for the same device differ between countries
Thermage FLX and Ultherapy are the same devices wherever you have them, so the differences you see between countries come from what is around the device: how many shots or lines are included, which areas are treated, whether the consumable tip is single-use and genuine, whether the consultation and anaesthesia are charged separately, local tax rules, and local rent and staffing costs. A quote that looks low may cover fewer shots or a smaller area than the one you are comparing it with.
That is why the comparison on our guide site is organised by shot count and area rather than by clinic. It converts published prices from each market into Korean won at a stated exchange rate and date, so you can see how a Korean listed price for, say, Thermage FLX 900 shots sits against published prices for the same thing elsewhere. It is a reference, not a ranking of clinics, and prices in other markets change — check the year on each row.
How to compare a Korean quote with one at home
Write down the same five things for each quote: device and model, shot or line count, treated area (face only, or face and neck), what is included (consultation, numbing, sedation, follow-up) and whether tax is included. At REPIC, listed prices are posted in English on our price pages, exclude 10% VAT, and the same prices apply whether you are visiting from abroad or live in Korea. The consultation and the 3D facial scan are part of the first visit, and the doctor decides the shot distribution from that scan.
Ask about the tip as well. Both Thermage and Ultherapy use single-use consumables, and REPIC has an authenticity check for them; for Thermage you receive an authenticity certificate. If you are comparing a quote that is far below everything else, ask the clinic the same questions before you book.
Fitting Thermage or Ultherapy into a trip to Seoul
Tell us your arrival and departure dates when you book. Several treatments can be combined on the same day when the doctor agrees, and the plan is set at the consultation after the 3D scan. There is no deposit, and you pay after treatment with an overseas card, Alipay or WeChat Pay. Your treatment record is given to you in your language, and you can message the clinic after you fly home.
International patients whose treatments on the day reach the amount shown on our private-care visitor guide have the taxi fare from their Seoul hotel to the clinic reimbursed against the receipt, and the clinic arranges a car back to the hotel after treatment. There is no airport pickup.
How to book
- Look up the shot count and area you want on our English price pages, then open the guide-site comparison to see published prices for the same thing in other markets.
- Book online or by messenger (WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat, KakaoTalk) with your travel dates; mention Thermage or Ultherapy so the time slot is long enough.
- At the consultation the doctor reviews your 3D scan and skin measurements, confirms the shot count and area, and explains the anaesthesia options.
- Treatment is performed by the doctor; you receive your treatment record in your language and can message us with questions after you return home.
