Quick answer: Rejuran is a skin booster made from polynucleotides (PN) purified from salmon DNA, injected into the dermis in many small points. The standard course is 3 sessions, 2 to 4 weeks apart. How is Rejuran different from filler?

The purpose is different. Miss this distinction and you will get a result you did not expect.

Filler adds volume. It sits under the skin and changes shape.
Radiofrequency devices like Thermage, and lasers, use heat to tighten tissue.
Skin boosters like Rejuran are spread widely in tiny points to change the quality of the skin itself.

The main ingredient is PN extracted from purified salmon DNA. Why salmon? DNA taken from salmon milt can be purified to a high degree, and after purification immune reactions have rarely been reported. Once it settles in the dermis, it supplies material for the repair work your skin was already doing. It does not work by filling a gap. It works by helping your own skin recover.

Under-eye is the most requested area, and also where technique matters most. The skin there is thin. Inject too shallow and it shows through; inject carelessly and it bruises. So check who is holding the syringe. At Repic, the doctor does it personally.

How long do Rejuran bumps last?

After numbing cream, the injections go in shallow and fast, and the small bumps at each point last 1 to 3 days.

Numbing cream goes on first. If you are sensitive to pain, you can choose the sedation (sleep) option.
The injecting itself is quick. Most people describe it as stinging or pressure.
Right after, you will see a small raised bump at each point. These go down over 1 to 3 days.
Light bruising or swelling can happen, a little more under the eyes. It is a common, temporary reaction and usually settles on its own.

Honestly, this is an injectable, so do not book it two days before a wedding or a big presentation. Give yourself a few days. If you are visiting Seoul, schedule it early in your trip rather than the day before you fly home. Without that buffer, it is better to discuss options that leave no marks, like laser toning or LDM, at the consultation. No skin booster truly has no downtime at all.

There are also cases where I recommend something else. If sagging or volume loss is the real problem, that belongs to lifting or filler. We also check four things at the consultation: pregnancy or breastfeeding; infection or inflamed acne in the treatment area; blood thinners or easy bruising; and any past reaction to fish-derived ingredients.
