Density is a non-surgical monopolar radiofrequency (RF) treatment that firms the skin by stimulating collagen beneath the surface. The deeper layer is warmed while the surface stays cooled, allowing an immediate return to daily activities. Like re-tightening the inner mesh of a stretched-out sweater, the deeper collagen network is warmed and re-knit to restore structure, while the surface stays cooled and only the inner texture is refined.

1. Consultation & Assessment: A doctor uses skin diagnostic tools and palpation to assess skin thickness, firmness, and degree of laxity, and reviews contraindications (pregnancy, implanted devices, metal implants, recent procedures). This determines the tip, level, and treatment area best suited to the skin. 2. Preparation: The skin is cleansed, and the genuine Classic Tip and a return pad (which completes the energy circuit) are applied. 3. RF Energy Delivery: RF energy is delivered evenly across the treatment area; the surface is cooled while heat reaches the deeper dermis. Temperature is monitored in real time, and the energy level is set according to skin condition and response. 4. Finish: After a brief soothing step, normal activities can be resumed immediately. The full session takes about 30 minutes.

Right after the session, the contraction of heated collagen may give a sense of firmness. Over the following 2-6 months, dermal collagen remodeling develops gradually and becomes more visible. How long any change lasts varies considerably by individual depending on skin condition, age, and lifestyle. To help the skin hold the change while collagen rebuilds, maintaining everyday home care such as moisturizing and sun protection is helpful, and a doctor can suggest care suited to the skin during consultation. Mild redness and warmth usually settle within about 24 hours; mild swelling generally settles within a few days.

The doctor should be informed before treatment if any of the following apply: pregnancy, an implanted device (pacemaker or artificial joint), metal implants in the treatment area, an active infection, wound, or skin condition in the treatment area, any recent procedures (fillers or threads), or medication use (for example, photosensitizing drugs such as isotretinoin). Temporary redness, warmth, or mild swelling can occur and usually settle within a few days. Rarely, burns, blisters, or temporary pigment changes may occur; the clinic should be contacted promptly if any unusual reaction is noticed. On the day of treatment: avoid saunas, excessive heat, and alcohol; keep the skin moisturized with sun protection. There are no flight restrictions after the procedure.
