What Is EMFACE?

EMFACE is a needle-free, non-invasive lifting and toning treatment done simply by applying patches to the face — no injections involved. It uses two energies at once: HIFES, which makes the facial muscles contract like a short workout, and RF heat, which gently warms the deeper skin to encourage collagen.

What to Expect: The EMFACE Treatment Process

1) Consultation, screening & diagnosis: implanted electronic devices such as a pacemaker, artificial joints, metal implants (including dental implants and gold teeth), and pregnancy/breastfeeding are verbally re-confirmed, and where helpful skin and firmness are checked with diagnostic imaging to identify the zones that need stimulation. 2) Mapping: the physician marks the target zones such as forehead, cheeks and cheekbones, and jawline. 3) Patch placement: single-use treatment patches are applied to the face (cheeks and forehead), and a reference (grounding) patch is placed on the upper back near the shoulder blade. This back patch simply completes the device's electrical circuit safely and causes no discomfort. 4) Activation: HIFES delivers electromagnetic stimulation that contracts the muscles rhythmically, while RF heat simultaneously warms the deeper skin. During treatment there is a tightening, exercise-like sensation along with gentle warmth, but no needle pain. 5) Finish: after about 20 minutes the patches are removed, and patients can wash the face and apply makeup right away. No dedicated recovery time is required.

When Will EMFACE Results Appear — and How Long Do They Last?

The degree and duration of any change vary by age, muscle and skin condition, and lifestyle, and identical results or guaranteed outcomes cannot be promised for everyone. Among EMFACE's signature effects, you can expect changes such as the following: - supporting and lifting volume in the mid-face (cheeks and cheekbones) to help with mid-face lifting - stimulating the forehead muscles to help with forehead lifting - balanced stimulation of the left and right facial muscles to help correct muscle asymmetry Some people notice a firmer feeling right after a session from the muscle contraction, while changes in firmness and fine lines from collagen tend to build gradually over the weeks that follow. EMFACE is generally offered as a program of several sessions spaced at intervals; the intervals and the number of sessions are decided individually after examination. As sessions accumulate, muscle stimulation and changes in skin firmness may develop together. Because firmness can shift again over time, maintaining everyday habits and home care (such as hydration and sun protection) after treatment and continuing care on the recommended schedule may help the change last longer.

Disclose in advance — physician decides case by case: metal implants (including dental implants, gold teeth, and crowns) and artificial joints, as the treatment area, approach, or eligibility may be adjusted; the clinic should be informed beforehand. Please also consult the medical staff for those with active inflammation or infection at the treatment site, a strong tendency toward keloid scarring, or a bleeding disorder.
