Who it’s for

  • If you have the following skin concerns, LHALA Peel may be considered as information for your reference. - Sebum production, debris inside the pores, and built-up dead skin cells are a concern - The skin is acne-prone or breakout-prone and the aim is to smooth the skin texture gently - The skin feels dull and rough because of dead skin cells - The skin is dry or lacklustre and improvement in hydration is desired alongside peeling - A peel with relatively little skin irritation and downtime is preferred over strong resurfacing LHALA Peel is a peeling treatment that refines dead skin cells and debris on the skin surface while also aiming to improve the skin's hydration and smoothness. As skin irritation and recovery burden are relatively low compared with strong resurfacing, it may be considered when the aim is gentle care of skin texture and tone. Application to areas other than the face, such as keratosis pilaris (the rough, bumpy texture on the arms and legs), may also be considered; however, the treatment method and number of sessions may differ according to the area and extent, so eligibility is confirmed through consultation. Changes in skin texture, dead skin cells, and hydration are generally not completed in a single session, and gradual improvement can be expected when care is repeated according to the skin condition. Which configuration suits your skin is decided in consultation with the medical team after assessing sebum, pores, dead skin cells, and other skin conditions with diagnostic equipment. Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy, when there is active infection in the treatment area (such as inflamed lesions or herpes), or in areas that have recently undergone semi-permanent (pigment) procedures, so please refer to the precautions for details.

What Is LHALA Peel?

The LHALA Peel is a mild peel that uses LHA — an oil-loving acid — to gently clear sebum and built-up dead skin from inside the pores. This peel sinks into clogged pores and loosens buildup rather than irritating the skin. Downtime is short, and texture and tone tend to refine step by step when sessions are repeated at suitable intervals. Like washing greasy dishes — instead of scrubbing hard, dish soap seeps into the oil and dissolves it away; this peel works the same way, sinking into the oily buildup inside the pores and gently loosening it.

What to Expect: The LHALA Peel Treatment Process

A full LHALA Peel session at REPIC proceeds step by step: 1. Cleansing and a skin check. 2. The first peeling solution applied evenly with a dedicated brush for about 5 minutes. 3. Gentle removal with a sponge. 4. A second peeling solution applied with a cotton swab, combined with LED. 5. A water-based wipe-down to rinse away any leftover product. 6. About 5 minutes of cryo (cooling) to calm the skin. 7. A soothing finishing mask (a rubber-type 'modeling' mask that sets and is peeled off). The amount applied and the intensity are tailored to the skin and the chosen course, following a standardized, measured protocol. If stinging is felt, the dwell time of the second solution is shortened to adjust intensity. When combined with a pigment laser, the peel is performed first, followed by the laser. No anesthesia is generally required; patients may feel mild tingling during the session.

When Will LHALA Peel Results Appear — and How Long Do They Last?

By clearing away built-up dead skin and acting on sebum and debris in the pores, the LHALA Peel often leaves skin feeling more refined after the session, though this varies from person to person. A clearer-looking tone typically appears over the following few days as surface exfoliation completes, and texture- and pore-related changes tend to build gradually with treatments repeated at suitable intervals. Downtime is short, around one day, and mild redness or light flaking may follow for 1–2 days. Between sessions, keeping up diligent sun protection and gentle, hydration-focused home care can help maintain the individual's texture and pore condition and carry the benefits of repeated care forward. The degree and duration of any change vary with skin type, lifestyle, and sun protection, so no specific outcome is guaranteed. The ideal interval and number of sessions are best decided with a doctor based on the skin.

LHALA Peel Safety Information & Aftercare

Redness, dryness, stinging, or flaking may occur after treatment, and in most cases these settle over time. Flaking skin should not be picked off or rubbed; it is best to let it shed naturally. After treatment, pay attention to adequate moisturizing and sun protection, and while the skin is recovering it is best to avoid scrubs, peeling products, and cosmetics that can be irritating such as retinol and AHA/BHA. It is also best to avoid activities that apply excessive heat or irritation to the skin, such as saunas, hot compresses, hot baths, excessive alcohol, and vigorous exercise. Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy, or when there is active skin disease, infection, inflammation, a herpes lesion, or an open wound in the treatment area. Prior confirmation is also required after recent strong sun exposure or after other procedures such as peels, lasers, or waxing. If you are using topical vitamin A derivatives such as tretinoin, retinol, or adapalene, please be sure to inform the medical team before treatment; depending on the skin condition, use may need to be stopped for a period before treatment. Please also let us know separately if you are taking or have recently taken an oral retinoid such as isotretinoin. If semi-permanent makeup has recently been applied in the treatment area, the pigment may fade or be affected, so that area may be avoided or the timing of treatment adjusted. Please also inform the medical team in advance about current medication, allergies, underlying conditions, and recent skin procedures. Whether treatment can be performed and how it is applied may differ according to the individual's skin condition and history of previous procedures and medication use, and is determined after medical consultation.
