Onda Lifting

ONDA is a non-invasive treatment that uses microwave energy to gently warm the collagen and the fat layer beneath the skin, helping to care for firmness and contour without any cutting. Because the surface stays protected by cooling while only the deeper layers are heated, there is little burden of burning or pain, so it can be received comfortably with very little discomfort. It can be used not only on the face but also on body areas such as the abdomen and thighs. Like a warm compress that keeps the outside cool while warming what's underneath — the skin surface stays comfortable while the deeper tissue is treated.

1. Consultation, with the medical team selecting the treatment area and tip (3mm for the dermis, 7mm for the subcutaneous layer/body); the area, tip and energy dose are planned individually based on the skin condition as reviewed with imaging such as MarkVu (a non-contact skin analysis camera). 2. Jojoba oil is applied so the handpiece glides smoothly over the skin. 3. The cooled microwave handpiece is passed evenly over the area, delivering energy (the energy dose is planned by the medical team according to the area and extent). 4. A cool sensation is typically felt first, then gentle warmth; if anything feels too hot or sharp, informing the doctor immediately lets the output be adjusted. 5. The oil is cleansed off to finish. A facial session takes about 30 minutes; body or larger areas may take longer depending on the area and extent. A MarkVu photo may be taken before and after to keep a record.

ONDA stimulates both collagen and the subcutaneous layer, so results tend to appear gradually over roughly 1–3 months rather than all at once. The more superficial dermis (3mm) works on firmness as the heated collagen reorganizes over time, while the deeper subcutaneous layer (7mm) works on contour areas through its heat effect. The manufacturer's recommended protocol is a series of three or more sessions spaced about four weeks (one month) apart, and the exact number and spacing are planned individually by the medical team. The degree and pace of change depend on individual skin condition, fat distribution and lifestyle, and results vary by individual.

ONDA is not performed during pregnancy or when pregnancy is possible. Treatment may be restricted if an in-body electronic medical device such as a pacemaker or implantable defibrillator is in use, or if there are metallic implants in the treatment area. Please also inform the medical team before treatment of any previous procedures in the area such as fillers or lifting threads, and of active skin disease, infection, wounds, malignancy, or uncontrolled systemic disease. Temporary flushing, warmth, or discomfort may appear after treatment, but these generally settle over time. On the day of treatment, avoid excessive heat exposure such as saunas and hot compresses as well as excessive alcohol, and pay attention to sun protection when going out. If warmth, pain, or other discomfort during treatment becomes severe, please tell the medical team immediately. Whether treatment can be performed and how it is applied may differ according to the individual's health status and previous treatment history, and is determined after medical consultation.
