Skin Botox

Skin Botox uses a highly diluted botulinum toxin placed in tiny micro-droplets into the very shallow surface layer of the skin across the whole face. Unlike conventional Botox that relaxes deep muscles, its goal is to refine oil and shine, pores, texture and tone — not to change facial expressions.

1) Consultation: the pores, oil and texture are assessed with skin-imaging equipment, and contraindications (pregnancy, medications affecting bleeding, neuromuscular disease, allergy history) are reconfirmed verbally along with the medical record. 2) Cleanse & numb: after cleansing, a topical numbing cream may be applied as needed. 3) Product check: the product and dose of the botulinum toxin to be used are confirmed together. For imported products (such as Xeomin or Allergan), the vial is opened in front of the patient so the product and dose can be confirmed. 4) Injection: the diluted toxin is placed as fine micro-droplets into the shallow surface layer of the skin, evenly across the face. 5) Finish: a recovery cream is applied to soothe the skin. Total time about 15 minutes.

Because it works at the surface, there is no frozen or stiff expression. Results typically emerge gradually around one week after treatment, helping reduce oiliness and shine while refining pores, texture and tone. Because a diluted, small amount is placed shallowly, the action is lighter and shorter-lasting than muscle Botox, so those who wish to maintain the result may consider repeating roughly every 2-3 months, with timing decided through consultation. Pairing Skin Botox with everyday home care suited to the oil and pore condition identified during the skin-imaging assessment — such as gentle cleansing and oil care — may also help support how the result settles, and where appropriate the team can discuss a home-care direction matched to the skin during the consultation. Onset and duration can vary depending on individual skin type and oil levels.

Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in the case of neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, or when there is active infection in the treatment area. If you have experienced an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction to botulinum toxin or anaesthetic ingredients, or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding, please inform the medical team before treatment. Please also be sure to inform us if you are using medication that can affect neuromuscular transmission, such as aminoglycoside antibiotics. Because Skin Botox is injected at many points into the superficial layer of the skin, small raised bumps, redness, stinging, fine bruising, or injection marks may appear immediately after treatment; in most cases these gradually settle over time. Depending on the injection sites and dose, the surrounding facial muscles may rarely be affected, so facial expression may feel temporarily unnatural; in particular, after treatment around the mouth, the shape or movement of the mouth may feel different from usual. If such symptoms persist or cause discomfort, medical assessment is required. On the day of treatment, do not rub or massage the treated area vigorously, and it is best to avoid activities that increase blood flow and body temperature, such as vigorous exercise, saunas, hot compresses, hot baths, and alcohol.
