REPIC Clinic Gangnam · Acne scar treatment

Where can I get acne scar treatment in Seoul as a tourist, and what does the treatment involve?

REPIC Clinic Gangnam, about a 7-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 4 in Seoul, treats acne scars with REPIC Scar Care — a doctor-performed combination of subcision, CureJet and Juvelook Volume, with PDRN or Rejuran Healer, regeneration care and CO2 shouldering added in the full-face programs — and also offers Potenza RF microneedling and keloid treatment.

Which option suits you depends on the type of scar, the area and how long you are staying in Korea, so the plan is decided with a doctor at your consultation; prices are posted in English on our website.

What REPIC Scar Care combines

Acne scars are not all the same. Some are depressed and tethered to the tissue underneath, some are wide and shallow, and some have sharp edges. REPIC Scar Care is built as a combination so that the doctor can address more than one of these at the same visit. Subcision works under depressed scars, CureJet is a needle-free injection device used to deliver material into the scarred area, and Juvelook Volume is a collagen booster containing polylactic acid (PLA) that is used to support the skin from within.

The full-face programs add further steps. The Premium program adds PDRN, a salmon-derived DNA ingredient used in skin boosters, and regeneration care. The VIP program adds Rejuran Healer and CO2 shouldering, in which a CO2 laser is used along the edges of scars. The doctor explains during the consultation which steps your scars need and why.

Other options: Potenza and keloid treatment

Potenza combines microneedles with radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate collagen. Our treatment page lists it for people who want to address fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, as well as uneven tone or enlarged pores. A session takes about 30–60 minutes depending on the area, and mild redness and swelling for 1–3 days is expected, with full recovery in 5–7 days. Raised scars such as keloids are treated separately, and that treatment is priced by the size of the area.

Results and the number of sessions needed vary from person to person. Scar treatment is usually planned as a series, which is why each program is offered as 1, 3 or 5 sessions.

Planning scar treatment around a trip

Tell us your arrival and departure dates when you book. The doctor uses them to decide what can sensibly be done in one visit, whether a treatment is better scheduled early in your stay, and what a follow-up plan could look like if you return to Korea. After you fly home, you can still ask questions by WhatsApp, LINE, KakaoTalk, WeChat or email.

English, Chinese and Japanese interpreters are on site, and all our doctors consult in English. Prices for REPIC Scar Care and Potenza are posted in English on our website; listed prices exclude 10% VAT, and the same prices apply to Korean and international patients.
