REPIC Clinic Gangnam · Laser hair removal
Can I get laser hair removal in Seoul on a trip, and how many sessions does it take?
Yes — REPIC Clinic Gangnam in Seoul offers laser hair removal for the face and body, with a session taking about 20–40 minutes for facial areas and 30–60 minutes for body areas and minimal downtime.
Hair reduction builds over a series spaced 4–6 weeks apart — visible reduction usually after 3–5 sessions — so one trip can start a course but not complete it, and sun exposure should be avoided for 2 weeks on either side of a body treatment.

How a course works
Laser hair removal targets hair follicles. After each session hair tends to grow back finer and more slowly, and our treatment pages describe visible reduction after 3–5 sessions. Facial hair is usually thicker and denser, and many people have 6–10 sessions for long-lasting reduction on the face; for body areas, a course of 5–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typical, followed by maintenance as needed. Results vary from person to person.
Because of this spacing, a single visit to Korea can begin a course or add one session to a course you are already doing, but it cannot replace the full series. If you visit Korea regularly, the 5- and 10-session packages can be spread across trips — discuss timing with the doctor.
Before and during the session
Shave the area before your appointment, and do not wax, pluck or thread it, because the follicle needs to be present for the laser to target. At the clinic, the doctor assesses your hair type and skin, you are given protective eyewear, and a cooling gel is applied. The sensation is usually described as a mild snap, tingling or warmth, and cooling systems are used for comfort.
A facial area takes about 20–40 minutes and a body area about 30–60 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
Planning around sun and travel
This is the part that matters most on vacation. For body treatment, avoid direct sun and tanning for at least 2 weeks both before your session and after it, and use sunscreen on treated facial areas. If your trip includes beach days, tell the doctor so the session can be timed — or postponed — accordingly.
For 24–48 hours after treatment, avoid saunas, hot showers and intense workouts, and avoid harsh exfoliants or peels on the treated area for a few days. Mild redness usually settles within hours; a soothing cream or aloe can help. Prices for each area are posted in English on our website and exclude 10% VAT.
